Aluminum plate refers to a rectangular material made of pure aluminum or aluminum alloy material through pressure processing, which is cut to obtain a rectangular cross-section with uniform thickness. Internationally, it is customary to refer to sheets with a thickness of 0.2mm or less, a width of 200mm or more, and a length of less than 16m as aluminum plate or aluminum material. Sheets with a thickness of 0.2mm or less are aluminum foil material, and sheets or strips with a width of 200mm or less. Of course, with the progress of large equipment, there are also many sheets with a maximum width of 600mm. Below, we will introduce the types of commonly used raw materials for aluminum signage:

　　The alloy composition usually includes the following types of aluminum plates:

　　High purity aluminum plate: rolled from high purity aluminum with a content of 99.9 or more.

　　Pure aluminum plate: The composition is basically rolled from pure aluminum.

　　Alloy aluminum plate: composed of aluminum and auxiliary alloys, usually including aluminum copper, aluminum manganese, aluminum silicon, aluminum magnesium, and other series.

　　Composite aluminum plate or welded plate: Special purpose aluminum plate materials are obtained by combining multiple materials.

　　Aluminum coated aluminum plate: The outer edge of the aluminum plate is coated with thin aluminum plate for special purposes.

　　Classification and use of raw materials for aluminum signage:

　　According to the different metal elements contained in aluminum plates, they can be divided into 9 series, and can be divided into cold rolling and hot rolling according to different processing techniques. They can be divided into thin and medium thick plates with different thicknesses. Aluminum foil with a thickness of less than 0.2 millimeters is specified in the GB/T3880-2006 standard.

　　The classification of aluminum plate raw materials is as follows:

　　1、 1000 series: represents 1050 1060 1070 1000 series aluminum plate, also known as pure aluminum plate, and belongs to the series with the highest aluminum content among all series. The purity can reach over 99.00%. Due to the absence of other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap. It is currently a commonly used series in the aluminum nameplate production and nameplate industry. The majority of the products currently circulating in the market are the 1050 and 1060 series.

　　2、 2000 series aluminum plate: Representing 2A16 (LY16) 2A12 (LY12) 2A06 (LY6) 2000 series aluminum plate, its characteristic is high hardness, with the highest copper element content, around 3-5%. The 2000 series aluminum plates belong to aviation aluminum materials and are currently not commonly used in conventional industries. There are currently few manufacturers in China that produce 2000 series aluminum plates. The quality cannot be compared with foreign countries. Currently, the imported aluminum plates are mainly provided by Korean and German production enterprises. With the development of China's aerospace industry, the production technology of 2000 series aluminum plates will be further improved.

　　3、 3000 series aluminum plate: mainly representing 3003, 3003, 3A21. Also known as anti rust aluminum plate, China's 3000 series aluminum plate production process is relatively excellent. The 3000 series aluminum plate is mainly composed of manganese element. The content ranges from 1.0 to 1.5. It is a series with good rust prevention function.

　　4、 4000 series aluminum plate: Represented as the 4A01 4000 series aluminum plate, it belongs to the series with higher silicon content. Typically, the silicon content ranges from 4.5 to 6.0%. It belongs to building materials, Machine element, forging materials and welding materials; Low melting point, good corrosion resistance, with characteristics of heat resistance and wear resistance.

　　5、 5000 series: represents the 5052.5005.5083.5A05 series. The 5000 series aluminum plate belongs to the commonly used alloy aluminum plate series, with magnesium as the main element and a magnesium content between 3-5%. Also known as aluminum magnesium alloy. The main characteristics are low density, high tensile strength, and high elongation. The processing process is continuous casting and rolling, which belongs to the hot-rolled aluminum plate series and can be used for oxidation deep processing. In China, the 5000 series aluminum plate is one of the more mature aluminum plate series.

　　6、 6000 series: Representing 6061, which mainly contains magnesium and silicon elements, it combines the advantages of the 4000 series and 5000 series. 6061 is a cold treated aluminum forging product with excellent interface characteristics, easy coating, high strength, good usability, and strong corrosion resistance.

　　7、 7000 series: represents 7075, which mainly contains zinc element. It also belongs to the aviation series and is an aluminum magnesium zinc copper alloy that can be heat treated. It is a superhard aluminum alloy with good wear resistance. The 7075 aluminum plate is stress relieved and will not deform or warp after processing. All ultra large and ultra thick 7075 aluminum plates are detected by ultrasonic waves, ensuring no sand holes or impurities. The high thermal conductivity of the 7075 aluminum plate can shorten the forming time and improve work efficiency. The main feature is high hardness, and 7075 is an aluminum alloy with high hardness and strength.

　　8、 8000 series: The commonly used 8011 belongs to other series. Usually applied to aluminum plates with beer foil, household foil, and air conditioning foil as their main functions, as well as in radiators.

　　9、 9000 series: It belongs to the backup series, and technology is now so advanced. In order to cope with the emergence of aluminum plates containing other alloy elements, the International Aluminum Plate and Strip Federation has specially indicated that the 9000 series is a backup series, waiting for another new variety to appear to fill the gap in the 9000 series.
