Electroformed signs - thick labels

  Metal signs (also known as metal logo stickers) are commonly made by electroforming, which is applied to various aspects of life, such as headphones, mobile phones, computers, golf clubs, and so on.

  1、 Composition of electroformed label products:

  1. Base material: nickel (thickness according to customer sample or drawing requirements);

  2. Surface treatment: chrome plating, gold plating, dual color electroplating, wire drawing, mirror surface, sandblasting, laser beam effect;

  3. Filling: AB adhesive (epoxy resin, special for thick label);

  2、 The process principle of electroforming

  Electroforming is a process that utilizes the principle of electrolysis to electrodeposit a certain thickness of metal on a core mold or sample, and then separates the two to create a mold cavity. The accuracy and smoothness of the cavity of the electroforming mold are completely consistent with the core mold. Electroforming is also known as the "cloning" technology of non living substances.

  3、 Compared with traditional processes, electroformed signs have the following obvious characteristics:

  1. The complexity and diversity of surface treatment effects; On the same surface, it can be processed into composite effects such as diagonal, horizontal, matte, mirror, three-dimensional (protrusion), etc; Compared to this, stamping can generally only be processed to the required external dimensions or limited three-dimensional effects, but it is generally unable to achieve surface texture; If product design involves complex surface effects, electroforming technology is generally used; As shown in the figure:

  2. Good wear resistance: The surface of electroformed signs is generally treated with chromium plating, and the hardness of chromium is extremely high, reaching HV780-910, while the hardness of stainless steel is generally between HV180-650; So many superhard cutting tools have chrome plating on their surfaces to enhance their hardness and wear resistance; The product will not undergo any appearance changes under normal use;

  3. Stable chemical properties: Both the substrate and surface coating of the label have extremely stable chemical properties, even in extremely humid environments, there is no need to worry about rusting; The chemical properties of chromium are not active and are stable to both oxygen and water vapor at room temperature. Chromium begins to react with oxygen above 600 ℃, but the reaction becomes slow after the surface forms an oxide film;

  4. High glossiness: Nickel is a metal that can be highly polished, making it an excellent substrate for the electroplating chromium process. Electroformed nickel is chrome plated after polishing, which can achieve a much more perfect mirror effect than stainless steel mirror labels;

  The company operates strictly in accordance with the requirements of the ISO9001 quality management system and ISO14001 environmental management system, adopting advanced assembly line production operations to achieve stable supply of products with the best cost-effectiveness.
