The difference between stainless steel signs and aluminum signs

  1. Characteristics of stainless steel material:

  (1) The production of stainless steel signs; Stainless steel signs are generally made of stainless steel models 201, 202, and 304, with production processes including corrosion (also known as "etching"), engraving, laser, and silk screen printing. Under the conditions of exquisite modern surface styles and extremely high precision requirements, the most commonly used process for the production of stainless steel signs is etching. The surface produced by etching has a three-dimensional sense of concavity and convexity, a flat and smooth surface without burrs, and high precision.

  (2) Stable chemical reaction structure; Stainless steel has characteristics such as high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, and oxidation resistance; Affected by its chemical structure, compared to aluminum materials, the chemical structure is stable, and stainless steel is less prone to oxidation, rust, and deformation under the same conditions and environment. Therefore, many users who need to keep their signage bright and undamaged for a long time when exposed to rain or damp, cold, and high temperatures outdoors choose to use stainless steel materials. In short, the biggest feature of stainless steel signs is their durability and resistance to deformation.

  2. Characteristics of aluminum signs:

In terms of production process, the production of aluminum signs is much simpler and more convenient compared to the production of stainless steel signs. It can be produced by electrolysis of aluminum and Cryolite. The density of aluminum is much smaller than that of stainless steel, so the weight of aluminum tags is lighter than that of stainless steel tags. The chemical structure of aluminum material is not very stable, and its corrosion and oxidation resistance ability is weak. Due to its low chemical structure density and light weight, aluminum labels are prone to deformation during use.

  (2) Comparison of advantages and disadvantages between the two

  1. Stainless steel signage with stable structure, durability, and resistance to deformation; Stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and oxidation resistance, making it less prone to rusting. Aluminum signs are lightweight, structurally unstable, prone to deformation and rusting, have poor antioxidant capacity, and are prone to corrosion.

  2. The stainless steel material has a strong concave and convex three-dimensional sense, and the surface style looks high-end, commonly used for decoration of high value-added products.

Compared to stainless steel plates, aluminum plates are relatively cheaper, and because the production process of aluminum signs is relatively simple and fast, the production process without stainless steel signs is cumbersome, so the production cost is also lower.
