Let's take a look at how to operate the development, revision, and hardening film during the production process of metal signs.
1. Development
Add sodium carbonate to warm water at around 30 degrees Celsius, prepare the solution in a 20:1 ratio, and stir evenly. Place the exposed stainless steel plate in a weakly alkaline sodium carbonate solution. The ink on the unexposed part will undergo chemical reactions and fall off due to its lack of resistance to weak alkali. Gently wipe with a soft and clean cloth, and the metal sign pattern will gradually appear. After the development is completed, rinse off the remaining sodium carbonate on the stainless steel plate and dry it with a hair dryer.
2. Revision
After development, the stainless steel plate should be carefully inspected. If there are spots or damaged areas on the coating part of the pattern, a toothpick can be dipped in photosensitive ink for repair. If the repair is not good, it can only be returned to the previous process for complete rework.
3. Firmament
Put the repaired stainless steel plate into an oven and set the oven temperature to 88 degrees Celsius. This can increase the adhesion between the coating on the pattern and the stainless steel surface, and improve its surface strength, which is called a hard film. After 10 to 15 minutes, take it out and blow it cold, which can also allow it to naturally cool down.
Apply anti-corrosion protective film on the back of the firmly coated stainless steel plate to prevent etching and ensure the flatness of the metal label.
